An independent broker can do important things for you. To begin, we are able to quickly scan pricing and coverages across many different carriers. You get choices. Since rates vary so widely, we are able to secure a better deal than you are able to get yourself.
Going through an independent channel is beneficial to you because when it comes time to renew, it is very easy for us to bid your insurance out. The more companies your insurance is bid out to, the greater chances you have of getting the most bang for your buck.
If we find a better deal, its easy for us to move your policies over and make sure there’s no gaps in coverage dates. The process is smooth – you don’t need to provide all the information again, and you can stick with the same broker.
For many people the relationship they’ve built with the broker is important to them, so they deal with higher rates or incomplete coverage in order to continue the relationship. With an independent, this is a non issue. Keep your broker and get better coverage. You deserve it.
Independent agents are not employed by insurance companies. We act as an advocate for you, the client. Because we are not employed by an insurance company, we are able to give unbiased advice. We can evaluate your insurance as a whole, and if we see something that could be improved upon, we always have a variety of ways to solve that weak point.
If a claim should arise, we act on your behalf to make sure that the carriers uphold their promises. Filing for claims, and getting them approved can be a confusing and frustrating process. Having someone in your corner that has been there and done that is always a plus.
